Getting Involved

Staikos Homes will make every effort to keep the building process as simple as possible, but there will be some aspects where your involvement will be necessary. In order for us to meet our timelines, it is important to have the buyer’s cooperation. Once you have signed a firm offer to purchase, we will set up an appointment for you to meet with our staff to finalize the floor plans and begin the selection process.

Custom Design and Timely Decision-making

The stage at which the home is, as well as the set closing date, will be a determining factor in how soon we will need all of your choices. Staikos homes will make every effort to accommodate your schedule, but it will be up to the buyer to make themselves available for custom selections. It is best if all of those involved in the decision-making attend. Plan on spending a few uninterrupted hours to make kitchen design decisions. Our staff is there to help and give advice so that this process is not too overwhelming.

On-site Visits and Inspections

At various times during the construction of your home you may be required to visit the building site to meet with a member of our staff or one of our tradespeople. In order for us to be able to keep on schedule, we will ask that you make yourself available to make important decisions. We will do our best to give you as much notice as possible to avoid any scheduling conflicts.

Upon completion of your home, you will be required to make a PDI (Pre-delivery Inspection) of your home. This will usually take place in the final few days leading up to completion. Signatures will be required, so all buyers listed on the agreement should plan on attending.
